Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha (DKK) established its first Singapore plant, Denka Singapore Private Limited, in 1980. Located at 300 Ayer Merbau Road in Jurong Island site of the Singapore Petrochemical Complex Group of Companies, this plant specifically manufactures acetylene black.

DENKA BLACK ( trade name of DENKA ACETYLENE BLACK ) is produced from acetylene gas by a continuous thermal decomposition process. The acetylene gas is supplied from the neighbouring Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited.
